The suspects in the Fallbrook Center shooting that left 1 dead in West Hills may be known to the victims, LAPD says
At least one person died and three others were injured in a Saturday afternoon shooting at a busy shopping center parking lot in West Hills, police said.
A man believed to be about 45 years old died at the scene, according to LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart. Two women in their thirties were injured; one was in critical condition, the other in serious to critical condition. A man about 45 years old also was in serious to critical condition. LAFD arrived at the Fallbrook Center, at Fallbrook Avenue and Vanowen Street, around 3:40 p.m., and all the injured victims were transported to the hospital, according to Stewart. It was not immediately clear if there were more victims.The suspect may be known to the victims, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jayder Chaves. It was unclear if the shooting was gang-related.
Adam Strickland was about to enjoy some ice cream in his car when he heard “pops” in the parking lot. At first, he didn’t know what the noise was.
