About 10:55 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting at a gas station at the corner of South Corinth Street Road and Morrell Avenue, where they found two men with gunshot wounds in a vehicle. The men were taken to a hospital, where one of them died, police said. His name has not been released pending next-of-kin notification.Taurus Batts, who turned 31 on Saturday, was arrested on charges of murder and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting, as well as an unrelated family-violence assault charge, jail records show. His bail had not been set Saturday afternoon, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
