Since March 2021, members and associates of the Marion Gardens street gang have committed numerous acts of violence, including three homicides, authorities say.
Ten people authorities decribe as members of a Jersey City gang at the Marion Gardens public housing complex, including one charged with two homicides, were charged Friday in a drug trafficking conspiracy, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.
Pickett has previously been charged with the Nov. 1, 2022 murder of Jovahn Horne near Marion Gardens, and the March 29, 2021 fatal shooting of Kaheem Taylor. The U.S. Attorney’s Office say Horne’s murder was related to the gang’s drug trafficking activities. Horne agreed to meet Davis at the housing complex for a drug deal and when Horne and another man arrived to complete the transaction, Davis robbed the victim’s narcotics supply while Pickett and Wilson held the victim and his associate at gunpoint, authorities say.
