Those charged are people associated with New Hi Spa in Strongsville, Helen Foot Spa in Middleburg Heights, Flexology Spa in Willowick and Green Spa in Mentor.
Those charged are: Jujuan Tao, 48, of Strongsville; Jianwen Chen, 37, of Flushing, New York; Duoxiu Yang, 42, of Queens Village, New York; Jin Lian Chen, 49, of Flushing, New York; Yixiu Chen, 46, of Fresh Meadows, New York; Joseph Scherer, 43, of North Royalton; Michael Johnson, 59, of Madison; Zhichen Fang, 52, of Flushing, New York; Quin Wang, 38, of Flushing, New York; Ling Lin, 43, of Willowick; and Ai Hua Chen, 41, of Brooklyn, New York.
Scherer, Quin Wang, Ling Lin and Ai Hua Chen are the only defendants not charged with money laundering.All 11 are scheduled to for a March 1 arraignment in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. More than 17 police agencies from Cuyahoga and Lake counties were involved in the investigation, including the Cuyahoga Regional Human Trafficking Task Force and the Ohio Attorney General Office’s organized crime task force.
