Lamont O. Jones Jr. suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and was later pronounced dead, officials said.

Police responded to a report of shots fired about 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 near 4th Street and E Street in Millville, prosecutors said. Officers located Lamont O. Jones Jr., who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, officials said.Maurice L. Jones, 30, of Vineland, and Edwin I. Torres, 31, of Philadelphia, have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and related weapons offenses, officials said.
Jones’ detention hearing is scheduled for Tuesday. Torres is scheduled to appear in court on March 13. An investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
