As the first signs of the coronavirus outbreak started to take hold in Florida, the state moved polling places out of assisted living facilities that are home to the elderly. “We’re definitely voting,” DeSantis told reporters four days before the primary. “They voted during the Civil War. We’re going to vote.”

DeWine said he didn't have authority to unilaterally postpone the election, but his administration supported a lawsuit that sought to delay it.
