To juice the numbers, the hybrid powertrain is now simply part of the regular lineup rather than a separate variant, meaning the 2023 Honda Accord's two least-expensive trims use a carryover turbo I-4 gas engine and CVT automatic while the rest are hybrid-only, using an updated gas-electric combo good for 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.
Among the gas-only models, the entry-level Accord LX again occupies the lowest rung of the Accord ladder, just below the 2023 Accord EX, which isn't a new trim level for Honda generally , but one that hasn't been in the Accord family for some time. It sort of apes last year's gas-powered Accord EX-L on paper, minus the"L" part .Moving on to the hybrid versions, nearly all of them carry over their names from last year's Accord Hybrid offerings .
The Accord LX runs $28,390 and includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, LED headlights, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Honda Sensing, Honda's active safety suite, is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and automated emergency braking.
With last year's gas-powered Accord Sport, EX-L, and Touring gone, you'd expect prices for their newly hybrid-only 2023 equivalents to go up—but they don't, really. The 2023 Accord Sport goes for $32,990, a mere $825 more than last year's Accord Sport Hybrid. For 2023, the Sport gets a larger 12.3-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, black-painted 19-inch wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
