Re “State’s ban on gas-powered cars by 2035 not so easy” :

Most people are myopic when they hear a green idea. But keep your eye on the ball. The largest issue that has not been discussed is when we are all green with our electric vehicles and we will change global warming, climate change and basically feel good we are helping the planet. Ready, who is going to cover the $8.8 billion the state receives from the gas tax? I submit that the state will have to tax each electric vehicle thousands of dollars to cover the loss. Keep your eye on the ball.

Scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory just concluded in a study published at the American Geophysical Union that the season for heat waves in urban Southern California was lasting longer, which they explicitly attributed to human-induced climate change.
