A Palmyra man who stole a vehicle from Virginia is facing one charge, according to the Palmyra Borough Police Department.
Police say that on Oct. 8, around 9:37 a.m., 21-year-old Eric Whitney "flagged down" an officer on the 600 block of E. Main Street in Palmyra. Whitney reportedly told the officer that he was driving a stolen truck and that he'd stolen the vehicle from Virginia.Police say the Botetourt County Sheriff's Department in Virginia confirmed with the owner of the stolen vehicle that the truck had been missing.
The Botetourt County Sheriff later sent the Palmyra Borough Police Department a warrant for Whitney's arrest. Whitney was taken to Lebanon County Central Booking and is being charged with one count of arrest prior to requisition - fugitive from justice.
