A second person was arrested for her alleged role in the harrowing hammer attack on a New York City health department employee as she headed into a Queens subway station one night after work

Alston, who lives on Keeseville Avenue in St. Albans, was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court Monday afternoon. A criminal complaint charged her with criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny, identity theft and more. She was ordered to return to court on March 3, and faces up to four years in prison if convicted., including a jail escape attempt that left him with two broken ankles, law enforcement officials say.
