Three Houston residents were convicted of robbing multi-million dollar homes and holding families at gunpoint in late 2019 and mid-2020.

Timothy Morant, 55; Alvin Woods, 45; and Chakevia Roberts, 31, worked together to rob twoin the Houston area, and another family's home in Houston. During the robberies, Morant and Woods both pointed guns at the homeowners and their family members while Roberts sat outside as the lookout and getaway driver, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

On Dec. 13, 2019, Morant and Woods entered another home in Houston. When there, they encountered the homeowner and her child. The men pushed their way into the home while pointing guns at the victims. The two then zip-tied both the homeowner and her child while demanding money, jewelry and other expensive items. When the mother couldn't open a second safe to give Morant more valuables, he pepper sprayed the child.
