The Ministry of Education said on its website on July 17 that about 78.9 per cent of schools will not be conducting balloting and have enough vacancies to admit all Phase 2A registrants.Schools doing a ballot for Singapore citizen children residing outside 2km of their locations include Nan Hua Primary School, which had 102 applicants and 73 vacancies, and West Spring Primary School, which had 59 applicants for 52 vacancies.
Punggol Green Primary School has 78 applicants trying for 70 spots but has places only for Singapore citizen children residing within 1km of the school, while West Spring has 59 applicants vying for 52 spots but has places only for Singapore citizen children residing within 2km of the school.
