A doctored presidential seal with a double-headed eagle holding golf clubs was displayed before President Trump gave a speech on Tuesday.
President Donald Trump walked, beaming, onto the stage at Turning Point USA’s student summit in Washington on Tuesday to loud applause from the attendees, as a huge image of the “Seal of the President of the United States” was projected onto a screen behind him.
The fake seal was only displayed for a few seconds as Trump walked on stage, while the authentic remained behind the president for his speech. Trump has a long and controversial relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, discussed in detail in the report of by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the subject of much of Mueller’s testimony to Congress Wednesday.
