FILE - Smith's grocery store in Salt Lake City. A 47-year-old man from Herriman was killed after ramming into a building in West Jordan.
According to West Jordan police, they were dispatched to the Smith’s Grocery Store located at 1820 West 9000 South at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday on reports of a vehicle colliding with the south side of the building. Upon arrival, officials found one person inside the vehicle. They immediately initiated life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver, Tyler Taumoli, was later identified as the sole occupant in the vehicle at the time of the collision. It was determined that no other vehicles were involved.
