A crash in Kerr County on U.S. 87 Highway 87 on Sunday morning left five San Antonio residents, according to the Texas Department of Safety.The five men who died in a head-on crash on Sunday between Comfort and Fredericksburg were from San Antonio, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The men were identified as 32-year-old Nelson Rivera-Aguilar, 16-year-old Orlando Machorro-Ramos, 30-year-old Jose Gonzalez-Galvez, 28-year-old Kevin Portillo and 32-year-old Nathan Malosh. All five men had San Antonio addresses, DPS officials told the Express-News. The head-on crash occurred at 7:38 a.m. in Kerr County on the 900 block of U.S. 87 between Fredericksburg and Comfort, a town about 15 miles north of Boerne. A white Mazda sedan carrying Rivera-Aguilar, Machorro-Ramos, Gonzalez-Galvez and Portillo and was traveling north when the driver disregarded a no-passing zone and slammed into a black Nissan SUV driven by Malosh, according to DPS. Officials have not said who was driving the Mazda sedan at the time of the crash.
