SINGAPORE — A 53-year-old Singaporean worker died after nine glass doors toppled on him and two other workers while they were unloading them at an Alexandra warehouse.
The incident occurred at 61, Alexandra Terrace Harbour Link Complex at about 2.15pm last Thursday , said the Ministry of Manpower in a statement.
Two were injured and taken to the National University Hospital. The 53-year-old later succumbed to his injuries, while his co-worker is in a stable condition, the ministry added.MOM said it is investigating the incident, and has ordered AGL Facade Systems to stop all work and appoint a workplace safety and health auditor to review their existing work practices.
