No cause has been reported on the fire, which occurred early Monday morning in Newcomerstown, Ohio.
NEWCOMERSTOWN, Ohio — Six people were found dead after a fire early Monday morning at a home in Tuscarawas County, reports say.. The identities of the victims have not been released. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies.
People in the neighborhood where the fire occurred say a couple and four children lived in the home, the Repository reports. There are no reports on what caused the fire. Newcomerstown Mayor Pat Cadle said crews from a number of areas were at the scene throughout the night and morning despite what he called “intense cold temperatures.” Cadle told reporters that the community was saddened by “this tragedy and loss of life.”on the district’s website saying the district will offer counselors, faith-based support as well as school staff at West Elementary School on Tuesday. Counselors also will be available when students return to classes on Jan. 3.
