De facto law minister Liew Vui Keong says all Pakatan Harapan MPs and 22 opposition MPs have declared their assets to the Dewan Rakyat speaker. FMTNews PakatanHarapan DewanRakyat LiewVuiKeong

De facto law minister Liew Vui Keong leaves it to the Dewan Rakyat speaker to take action against those who have failed to declare their assets.

KUALA LUMPUR: De facto law minister Liew Vui Keong today said 160 out of 222 MPs had declared their assets to the Dewan Rakyat speaker as the deadline ended at 5pm today.“A copy of the declaration has been given to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission,” he told a press conference at the Parliament lobby. When asked if the MPs would be given an extension to submit their documents, he said this would be up to the speaker, but only if the MPs had requested an extension by today.

Liew added that action will be taken against those who have not declared their assets and those who ask for an extension. “This was a motion from the house. If they don’t respect the motion, this is contempt of the Dewan Rakyat,” he said, adding that the MPs should know the implications of not complying with the motion.
