SINGAPORE — Four men and four women have been arrested by the police for their alleged involvement in a recent spate of banking-related malware incidents.

Unauthorised transactions were subsequently made from victims’ bank accounts even when they did not divulge their one-time passwords to anyone. Cash amounting to S$3,800, a cashier’s order of S$9,912.56 and two mobile phones were seized as case exhibits. Police investigations are ongoing against the other six suspects for the alleged offences of acquiring benefits from criminal conduct and unauthorised disclosure of access codes.
