In case you're wondering WHAT we've been up to at home
“Thankfully, I have braids in right now because if I didn’t I would be having a minor crisis since all. All I need to do is lay my baby hairs and keep it pushing, but in order to have them lay right I need effective edge control. I figured this was the best time to try some that I have been holding onto and I instantly fell in love with this one. It doesn’t leave white residue and it’s not oily like a lot of other edge controls I’ve tried.
“I am admittedly a moisturizer connoisseur. I love trying different ones and experimenting with how they make my skin feel and look. I’ve had this Shiseido one sitting on my shelf for a few weeks and finally decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. The rich cream has left my skin softer and even provides a slight dewy finish. I have been using it post-workout after my cleanser and it quickly relieves my dry skin.
“Since I have oily skin, I usually stray away from oils so I don’t look crazy while out. But, since I’m staying in I figured I should try to finish off my skincare routine with an oil. I opted for Drunk Elephant’s Marula Facial Oil because I’ve heard such great things and I must say I think my routine is forever changed. The thick textured oil immediately hydrates my skin and leaves me with a finishing glow that is worthy of competing with my favorite dewy moisturizer.
Lately, I’ve been getting really serious about my baths and showers. Every Friday, I’ve been taking a long bath, and every night I take a really relaxing shower using this divine wash from Bathing Culture. It smells amazing like an outdoor shower in the height of summer sans mosquitos and pesky bugs.
