SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 93 new locally transmitted COVID-19 infections as of noon on Friday (Aug 6), including 29 infections with no links to previous cases. Fifty-six infections were linked to previous cases and had been placed on quarantine. Another eight linked infections were detected through sur

to take a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction test upon arrival and to go about their activities in Singapore if the PCR test result is negative.

They will not need to serve a 14-day stay-home notice, said MOH on Thursday, adding that the COVID-19 situation in Taiwan has improved. The eased border measures will take effect from 11.59pm on Saturday for all travellers entering Singapore with travel history to Taiwan within the last 21 days before departure.

Travellers who are already serving their stay-home notice at their place of residence as of 11.59pm on Saturday will still need to complete their stay-home notice and exit swab, added MOH.
