One lawmaker was cut off from being served alcohol.

A group of Republican state lawmakers and several lobbyists were asked to leave a popular Topeka, Kansas, restaurant after they allegedly got too rowdy on February 27, The Topeka Capital-Journal reported.

The manager of the restaurant, Cassidy Merriman, told The Topeka Capital-Journal that she made an exception for the party of 12, a party twice the size of those they usually seat in the small restaurant. She also said that the group was rowdy enough to disturb the other guests at dinner and that one couple even said they couldn’t hear one another talk over the group.

Merriman said she spoke to the group at their table and asked them to lower their voices and spoke to Finch personally to explain she would no longer serve him alcohol that night. After her talk with Finch, the table reportedly began cursing and one member of the dining party allegedly went to the kitchen to yell at a chef, that’s when Merriman called the restaurant’s owner, The Topeka Capital-Journal reported.

The restaurant has a 4.9 rating out of 5 on the Facebook page with reviews from nearly 100 people. Comments from those on the restaurant’s page supported The White Linen. “Man, you shouldn’t even have to spell this out…,” wrote one person while another said, “Thank you for you continued pledge to excellence!”
