The constantly made joke that"Nature is Healing" seems pretty applicable here, showing that viewers - in the States, at least - are ready to go back to watching movies on the big screen, which is usually a pretty good indication of how the rest of the world will follow once their cinemas have safely reopened.

Other 2021 releases have made more money in markets where cinemas have been open for longer - Godvilla VS. Kong has made $435 million since it launched in March, while Fast & Furious 9 has already banked $230 million despite not being open in the US yet - but the receipts shown by A Quiet Place Part II are evidence that audiences in arguably cinema's most important market are returning.

And with that news, we should fully expect distributors to start reshuffling their release schedules and making new announcements for when we will be seeing all of those blockbusters we've been missing out on since March 2020.
