recently expressed an alternative idea. Fitzgerald would like to see Rodgers play for the Dallas Cowboys next season.. “If I was Aaron, that wouldn’t be the most enticing route. It would be something a lot more controversial, like for him to go to the Dallas Cowboys.”A Rodgers trade to Dallas would likely involve Cowboys quarterback. It’s virtually impossible from a financial perspective. Prescott has two seasons remaining on a four-year, $160 million contract extension.
It’s worth acknowledging that if Rodgers and the Packers do amicably split this summer, Matt LaFleur could feel comfortable moving forward with. The 2020 first-rounder is entering the fourth and final season of his rookie contract in 2023, which could be his first as a starting signal-caller. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst must decide whether or not to pick up Love’s fifth-year option this offseason, which would keep him signed through 2024.
