BREAKING | The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Monday the arrest of a man accused of murdering Prince Holland, who was shot during a drive-by in December. It is the second arrest in the case.
Kentrevious Garard, 25, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder, four counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of shooting or throwing deadly missiles, according to Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters.Holland, 13, was on the way home from football along with three other boys and coach Jaylen Burroughs, the 21-year-old driver who was shot 10 times when another car pulled up and started shooting at the SUV they were traveling in.
Assistant State Attorney L.E. Hutton said investigators know who the intended target was but did not reveal who that was. Waters left this announcement to those who he said “continue to commit acts of violence and terrorize” the community:
