The latest iteration? A labyrinthine crown of diminutive braids, woven just in time for this weekend's Afropunk Festival, where Twigs will be headlining.
A visit to her Instagram page today found the performer sharing a shot of her contemporary cornrows, which snaked away from her crown with the exception of three tiny braids: one that ran the length of her center part before forking into a duet of face-framing plaits.
