But wrapping the championship in just five games will be no small feat. The Diamondbacks are a very young and stout team -- and they derive their name from the Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, which is a common limbless, carnivorous and venomous reptile found in many zoos. The Dallas Zoo has one, I learned this week as the zookeepers allowed me to see it up close and in person. Check out the video at the top of this article to see what I learned!
By the way, the Fort Worth Zoo has diamondback rattlesnakes, also. And, apparently, the Phoenix Zoo does as well. In the case of the latter two above-mentioned zoos, they're participating in a bet over the World Series' outcome, they announced on social media on Tuesday.will have to name one of their diamondback rattlesnakes after the Dbacks player of our choosing! However, if the Dbacks lose, we will do the same!According to the terms of their wager, if the Diamondbacks win the series, the Fort Worth will name one of its diamondback rattlesnakes for a D-backs player.
