NEW: Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh has been fatally shot while covering an Israeli military incursion in the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank

According to the Israeli military, during the incursion Palestinian militants fired at the Israeli forces and used explosive devices. The Raam party called for the opening of an international investigation into her death, as did Hamas which labeled the killing "another Israeli crime."
