Country-rock band Alabama is making Columbus one of its limited-engagement stops on tour this year. The band will perform April 28 at Value City Arena
has earned the right to slow down its schedule from what used to be a different-city-every-night kind of tour.
At this point, Gentry and Owen form the core of the band, with Cook having largely stepped back because of his battle with Parkinson's Disease.“After years of doing it, I just turned 70 and Randy's 72, we like to try to put on a good show, surround ourselves with good musicians, honor the music and the songs,” Gentry said, speaking by phone from his home in Lookout Mountain, Alabama.
Songwriting has continued for Gentry, who has co-written many of the band's hits, during the time off from touring during the pandemic.
