Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba unveiled on Tuesday its version of a ChatGPT-style product called Tongyi Qianwen.

In a separate press release, Alibaba Cloud said the bot will first be deployed by Alibaba’s Slack-like workplace communication platform DingTalk, enabling people to use it for tasks like drafting emails and summarizing meeting notes. The company’s Tmall Genie IoT platform will use it to integrate new interactive features such as recommending recipes for healthy food, offering travel tips and suggesting background music for workout sessions.
