Animated metal band Dethklok will kick off a very real ‘Metalocalypse’ tour with Babymetal in Houston

Babymetal, the Japanese kawaii metal band, is the co-headliner alongside Dethklok.

Brendon Small, co-creator of" Metalocalypse," writes the music and is the main performer for Dethklok. The band has released several albums and previously toured.

"Metalocalypse" premiered on Adult Swim in 2006 and ran for four seasons. It focused on Dethklok, heralded as"the most successful entertainment act on the planet and the seventh largest economy in the animated world of"Metalocalypse." The cast featured Mark Hamill and Malcolm McDowell. The full-length movie"Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar" will also debut this year featuring Hamill, McDowell, Jon Hamm, Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Amy Lee of Evanescence and more.
