It shouldn't be surprising that Andy Biggs and Matt Gaetz are peppering their supporters with emails as they block the House from commencing business.
“Maybe the right person for the job of Speaker of the House isn’t someone who has sold shares of himself for more than a decade to get it,” Gaetz wrote in a similar email before asking recipients for donations.
Republicans aren’t the only ones trying to parlay the party’s chaos into financial support. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries , who has received the most votes in every speakership ballot thus far, has been sending out emails, too.
