The tech company slashed prices on iPhones, iPads and other products on its official Chinese website on Monday. The move was in response to new tax cuts for manufacturing and other sectors that kicked in on April 1, according to state-run news agency Xinhua. China reduced the value-added tax rate by three percentage points. Apple 's price cuts are steeper — the company slashed prices of key products by nearly 6%.
