Alabama is in the icebox as of Friday morning. Temperatures, as expected, plunged overnight after an arctic cold front passed through the state. Wind chill warnings and advisories continue for much of the state as well as hard freeze warnings.
The weather service in Huntsville got reports of snow flurries and some snow showers overnight, but so far hasn’t reported any major accumulations.
It will continue to be breezy and very, very cold today across Alabama. But skies will clear and the sun will be out. Tonight will again be bitterly cold, possibly a few degrees colder than this morning, with single-digit lows possible again for north and north-central Alabama.Here are the low temperatures expected tonight into Saturday morning.
