Entering the third season of Fisch’s tenure, the Wildcats have talent, depth and momentum on their side. They may even be decent on defense for once.
The Big 12 announced Friday night it is adding Arizona, Arizona State and Utah as members next year, completing its raid of the Pac-12 and marking what a number of people are saying is the collapse of Pac-12.The Wildcats have one of the Pac-12’s best quarterbacks in Jayden de Laura, a dynamic receiving duo in Jacob Cowing and Tetairoa McMillan, and productive running back Michael Wiley.
"We’ve got the opportunity to do something we haven’t done in a while around here," Arizona cornerback Treydan Stukes said.Arizona had a huge pick up when de Laura decided to transfer from Washington State last year. "Being the older guy on the team, a lot of people look up to me and expect me to be that leader not just on the field, but off the field too," de Laura said.Arizona has had one of the FBS’s worst defenses for several years running but should be bigger and faster thanks to additions through the transfer portal.
