An arrest affidavit has unveiled new details about a fatal shooting at a Cedar Park gas station earlier this month, including the use of a gay slur by the suspect prior to the incident

The shooting took place Friday, June 2, at the Circle K Gas Station on N FM 620 in Cedar Park, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old woman. The victim, identified as Akira Ross, was found deceased near the gas pumps, having been shot multiple times. Surveillance footage from the gas station showed a silver Chevy Malibu entering the parking lot shortly before the incident. The driver, later identified as 23-year-old Bradley Stanford, was seen interacting with Ross before the shooting.

According to the affidavit, Stanford used a gay slur towards Ross before firing the shots. Two witnesses present at the scene, one of whom was Ross's girlfriend, reported a verbal altercation between Stanford and Ross prior to the shooting. The girlfriend captured a portion of the altercation on video, which she provided to the police.

Stanford's vehicle was located at an address approximately 2 miles from the crime scene. The vehicle matched the description given by the witnesses and seen in the surveillance footage.Stanford was apprehended on June 4, in Ingleside, Texas, with the assistance of the San Patricio County Tactical Response Team. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
