The moment when Bentley began to reconsider her career path happened in front of clients on the other side of the world.In the two years that followed, Bentley left her job, earned an MBA, and with her co-founder Carly Nance, launched "I loved working with numbers tied to business," she said."I felt that if I could understand the numbers and how money moved, that I would be able to understand business opportunities that had the potential to make a meaningful impact."

A reliable paycheck, Bentley realized, would transform these villages and enable them to provide better education and healthcare.Bentley was recruited by the global management consultancy as a senior in college. "I realized most of the products that we consume require tremendous amounts of human labor at very low costs," she said."When I saw the conditions and challenges that exist within the global supply chains today, I began to realize these directly impact the biggest issues we're facing in the world in terms of human rights and the environment." At first, Bentley assumed her career shift would come from finding the right company to work for after finishing her MBA.
