Astros' ESPN Sunday night games to include World Series rematch vs. Phillies
The first round of ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball schedule for the 2023 season will include a World Series rematch between the Astros and Philadelphia Phillies, the network announced Monday.
The Astros' April 30 home game against the Phillies, whom they beat in six games to win the 2022 Fall Classic, is one of two Houston games on the Sunday night schedule through June 18. Houston's April 16 home game against the intrastate rival Rangers also will be carried nationally on ESPN. ESPN previously announced it would air the Astros' season opener on Thursday, March 30 against the White Sox that will include the unveiling of the World Series banner and other pregame championship festivities.Padres at Braves, 6 p.m.Phillies at Astros, 6 p.m.Yankees at Red Sox, 6 p.m.
