PETERSBURG, Fla. — It’s no secret José Urquidy struggles with righthanded hitters. As a rookie in 2019, he allowed righties to hit .300 off him.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said he wasn't sure how to correct it, but his initial thought was that Urquidy should throw inside more."I think I have to throw more in to them," he said."Most of their hits are away. I think I have to throw more in, and I have to practice throwing there." It was a sequence Urquidy brought up postgame without being prompted, and he said it's something he needs to try to replicate.
