Audi e-tron is given the Q8 prefix – and more besides

The old Audi e-tron may now be called the Q8 e-tron, but that isn’t the only upgrade for Audi’s largest electric SUV

The e-tron name was always going to cause headaches for Audi. Confused messaging about electric vehicles left the brand’s first electric SUV an outlier in the brand’s range.

The German company has solved this issue by changing the car’s name from “e-tron” to “Q8 e-tron”. While it was busy doing this, the firm also tweaked the design and the powertrains to make the car even more attractive.
