A new report claims a Euphoria star has been cast in Bad Boys 4 as the film’s central villain character opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
Bad Boys 4 has reportedly found the actor who will be playing the film's central villain, and it's a major actor from HBO's Euphoria. After the franchise first got its start back in 1995 with director Michael Bay, Smith and Lawrence returned for two subsequent installments, most recently reprising their respective roles as Mike and Marcus for 2020's Bad Boys For Life.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Although the Bad Boys 4 release date isn't yet set, a new report from Deadline claims that Euphoria star Eric Dane, who plays Cal Jacobs, has been tapped the play the movie's main villain. Dane is also well-known for his role in ABC's long-running medical drama Grey's Anatomy in addition for appearing in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand.
What To Expect From Bad Boys 4 While story information has not yet been revealed, the upcoming film will feature the return of both Smith and Lawrence, who both confirmed that the film was happening with videos posted to social media back in January. In addition to the two key stars, Bad Boys For Life's Vanessa Hudgens is also confirmed to be returning as Kelly, an ally to Mike and Marcus. Paola Núnez and Alexander Ludwig are also expected to return as Rita and Dorn, respectively.
One key ally featured in previous Bad Boys movies is not expected to return, however, with Joe Pantoliano's Captain Conrad Howard having been killed in Bad Boys For Life. The third film in the franchise could also provide several hints regarding where Mike and Marcus' stories go next. Notably, Bad Boys For Life sees Smith and Lawrence's characters take on leadership roles in A.M.M.O., the Advanced Miami Metro Operations team, something that the fourth film could continue to explore.
Bad Boys For Life also features the revelation that Mike has a son named Armando . Armando is initially aligned with the film's villains but eventually takes a bullet for his father and ends up in prison, with signs that a redemption storyline might be on the way. Many questions remain regarding Bad Boys 4, but with filming to commence in the near future, it's likely that additional casting and story details will emerge in the coming months.
