Another push to settle the Major League Baseball lockout has failed after talks between team owners and the players’ union broke down without an agreement on a new labor contract, severely damaging the chances of a complete season in 2022.
Though the sides appeared to make significant progress during a marathon bargaining session Tuesday and Wednesday, the negotiations ultimately stumbled, reviving fears of an extended dispute that could cause long-lasting damage to the sport.
