The Celts pulled away in the second half for an eventual 76-46 win over Chatsworth, but those in attendance got a glimpse into the future watching Sterling and Arenas go at it. “He’s impressive overall,” Crespi coach Andrew Moore said. “He puts in the work. He was in the gym at 6 a.m. , less than 12 hours after the game the night before. All his work translates to his game.” Sterling is averaging 21 points, five rebounds and four assists per game this season. He scored 36 points in a win over Simi Valley last week while star sophomore Peyton White was sidelined.
“It speaks to his maturity,” Moore said of Sterling. “He’s been able to handle everything we’ve throw at him.”
