In a continuing tale across Hudson County, two more houses of worship are being considered for redevelopment.
The former Ohab Sholem, or “Uptown” Synagogue on Avenue C and the former St. Michael’s Lithuanian Roman Catholic Church on East 23rd Street are poised to be designated areas in need of redevelopment after years of neglect or inactivity, continuing a trend in Bayonne and surrounding cities of either repurposing or demolishing houses of worship.
