Seehorn is nominated for an Emmy.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Better Call Saul star Rhea Seehorn reveals the most difficult scenes to film during the show’s final run of episodes. At least early on, AMC’s acclaimed Breaking Bad spinoff gave audiences plenty of reason to worry about Kim Wexler, as the seemingly straight-laced character became more-and-more enmeshed in the dark designs of Bob Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman.
A year after the stunning Better Call Saul series finale, Seehorn is indeed among those nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series, marking her second straight nomination in the category.
Emotionally playing those final scenes — the prison scene, walking through the prison yard, and the final smoking scene — those were hard. Even navigating what Kim is feeling was very hard, but technically “Waterworks” [episode 12], the Florida episode in black-and-white when Kim is an entirely different person who gets a phone call from Jimmy, was very, very challenging.
“Waterworks” Was Seehorn’s Emmy Reel At first an interesting supporting character who seemed destined to become collateral damage in Jimmy/Saul’s various plans, Kim Wexler became the true co-lead in Better Call Saul season 6, and received a showcase in the season’s penultimate episode.
The highlight moment for Seehorn comes after Kim's confession to Cheryl Hamlin, where she is shown on a bus having a complete emotional breakdown, years of repressed guilt finally coming to the surface.
