Ms. Kennedy, the daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy, served as U.S. ambassador to Japan in the Obama administration. Ms. Kennedy said that she would work to “improve global health and increase vaccine access during this terrible pandemic and to address the urgent climate crisis.”
