On Tuesday, Pope Francis named Arkansas priest, Father Erik Pohlmeier, as the next bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine.
Bishop-elect Pohlmeier, 50, will have consecration as bishop and installation in the diocese July 22.covers 17 counties in Northeast and North Central Florida, and serves more than 153,000 Catholics.
