The roster of famous names who spent their youth at Boy Scouts is a long and impressive list.
Harrison Ford, Neil Armstrong, Gerald Ford, Michael Jordan, Hank Aaron, John Wayne, Jimmy Buffett, Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates, George W. Bush, Ozzie Nelson and Jay Leno are just a few of the luminaries who earned their merit badges, both early on, and later in life.During interviews and on his late night talk show, Leno has thanked both the boyhood Boy Scout troop members and scoutmasters of his learning years.
Former host of NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” Leno currently produces and is host of the CNBC prime-time series “Jay Leno’s Garage,” now in its seventh season. The new season premieres 9 p.m. Sept. 7 and will continue to explore the world of cars and interesting people behind the wheel and “their real stories.”
