Weather Alert: Severe thunderstorm warning issued for LaSalle County, with large hail and gusty winds possible
At approximately 3 p.m., a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of LaSalle County until 3:45 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, a warm front is expected to stall in an area in between Interstates 88 and 80, with the threat of tornadoes stretching as far north as DeKalb and stretching down past Kankakee.Sign up for NBC Chicago newsletters.
