Murphy saved his money to get a camera, a tripod and a teleprompter — all key pieces of equipment to make his daily show, he noted. Murphy and his mom went to London to wait in line to see Queen Elizabeth lying in state; he said the 12 hours he spent was worth it in the name of journalism. Murphy isn’t one to stay in one place, however; he has gone out on location to cover local news as well.
